The writer Ferran Agullo (born 1863 in Sant Feliz de Guixols) coined her name in the magazine La Veu de Catalunya in the September 12, 1908 issue.

Empuriabrava
Empuriabrava (in Spanish Ampuriabrava) is a suburb of the municipality of Castello d'Empuries on the Gulf of Roses in the province of Girona in Catalonia (Spain). The settlement, located about two kilometers from Castelló d'Empúries on the Costa Brava, was founded in 1967 and has around 7873 inhabitants (2011). Empuriabrava has the largest marina in Europe. A grid-like network of navigable canals with a total length of more than 30 kilometers and around 5,000 ship berths is characteristic of the townscape. Most houses have direct access to the canals and jetties.
Rosas
The city of Roses (Catalan Roses; Spanish Rosas) is located in the autonomous region of Catalonia in Spain and has 19,891 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013). It is located in the comarca of Alt Emporda, on the northern edge of the Gulf of Roses, in the province of Girona.

St. Margarita
Santa Margarita is a modern residential area and part of the city of Roses. It has a long sandy beach and 18 km of navigable canals. The Santa Margarita urbanization is very popular with tourists and residents and enjoys a high occupancy rate throughout the year. The views across the bay are mesmerizing, especially at sunrise and sunset. Like all the beaches on this part of the Bay of Roses, Santa Margarita is of high quality. Santa Margarita offers many good restaurants, bars and shopping.

Pau
Pau is a small village in the foothills of the Pyrenees and has a long tradition of wine and olive growing. The small village has some beautiful old buildings worth visiting.

Perelada (Golf)
Peralada means wine, music festivals, casino, and above all golf! In earlier times, the historic city of Peralada was, for a while, the capital of the Alt Empordà. With a church at the highest point of the village, a network of squares and alleys and some remains of the old city walls, Peralada is a typical Catalan town and certainly worth a visit.
